New year, New face.

Well, like I mentioned a couple posts back, I decided to update DC.O to look more like my LJ so that I could have a common theme running across them both. That’s how I started anyway. As I was working I kept having new ideas and this design is the end result. A simple one post layout with a menu system at the bottom. Amazingly, this is NOT a Hemingway hack. Also, this was my first time making a theme that uses widgets, and uses three sets of them at that. It kind of breaks the design of the sidebar widgets setup page in WP, but it works.
Soon, I may be making a post called “New year, New place.” as I applied for this great apartment in downtown DeKalb. Hopefully I’ll hear back from the landlord soon as I really like the place. If I don’t however, I’ve decided I may just give up on DeKalb altogether. This place is getting old, and I fear I’ll never be more than a gas station clerk if I stay here.

Well, I’ve finally gotten off my ass and made the comments.php and single.php pages for DCO, so the blog should be fully functional now. Hoorah. Now that everything is in working order, I can start one of my New Year’s resolutions:
“Pay more attention to my website.”
That basically means I’ll be posting atleast once a day. Rather than the 2 week - 2 month spans you’ve grown to know and love. I also need to finish the rest of those buttons up there. I think in my never ending laziness, I shall make all of the pages use wordpress so I can just use my header and edit them easily. Oh ho ho. Oh, and I’m not sure if Exits will be a blog roll, or just use a del.icio.us plugin. We shall see.
In other resolution news, Theresa and I started at a gym. The YMCA to be more exact. I walked in expecting gay sex, a sore body, and a feeling of regret, but after actually doing some cardio and a few laps, I found I really enjoyed it. Missed yesterday though, so today we’re staying twice as long. I forgot how bouncy gym shoes are. Anyway, exercising is fun, who knew?
I’m sure this is getting long, and I need to bathe, so I’ll cut it off here.

New year, New look

Well, thanks to a second wind, the new look of DCO is online. There’s still a lot to be done, (other pages, comments, single post pages, gallery, etc) but that can all wait until a later date. My second wind has run out, and this boy needs to sleep, and he needs to do it now. Hope you like the new look!
Welcome to the Future

Well, this is it. I’ve officially moved. All I have left to do on Asleep is download the files and and check my email for a final time. Then I can redirect the domain name, until it runs out, and cancel the webhosting account. I need to make sure my hostees get moved over too of course. All in due time. Until then, the new art page, with old art, is up. Need to get all the old stuff in there and hope my hacks to the script will allow multiple pages to still work. Until then, I bid ye welcome, and adieu.
