Valentine’s Day - Updated!

Ah well, an update to that last post. Well, as most of you probably know by now, there was a shooting at NIU, here in DeKalb, on Valentine’s Day. While the numbers seemed to change by the minute on the day of the incident, the final report is that 6 people were killed, including the shooter, and 16 were injured. The whole town is coping with it, and while we seem to be getting along alright, there’s no doubt that there’s a feeling that nowhere is safe anymore.
The killer was apparently a normal, nice guy, most of the time. From what I’ve read, it seems that he was dumped by his girlfriend, and went off his meds, he had mental issues, and then came back to NIU and well. This is not related to the threats in December. This guy was not hated or shunned by his fellow students. And for GOD’S SAKE, this had NOTHING to do with video games. It was someone who was mental unstable, doing something mentally unstable.
In other news, my 360 died. Red Ring of Death. I contacted Microsoft, and after we changed the registration information from the previous owner to me, they said they’d send me a shipping box that should be here by Monday. After that, I send it in, free shipping, and wait 2-3 weeks. Then I should have it back, along with a free month of XBox Live Gold. We’ll see how that all goes down.
I should get my tax refund soon, good times! Can finally pay off some big bills. And get a tv wall mount.
