Rock and Snow

In an attempt to get myself to draw more, I’ve taken a page from Jorby’s book and decided to start each post from now on with an image. Sometimes it will be content appropriate, other times I imagine not. Either way it should get me drawing more, so it’s a good thing.
I have realized I’ve developed an addiction to Rock Band. From playing the Solo Career mode in guitar, drums, and vocals, to obsessing with getting 100% on songs on expert, to wasting way too much time trying to find the right outfit for whomever I’m using (as well as customizing his instrument), to making a profile on the RB community site. My roommate Chrissy has been obsessing with trying to beat this song, Green Grass and High Tides, on the drums for the past 3 days. I played it today, first attempt, 4 stars. The drum pads are definitely causing us to miss some notes while drumming. Annoying, but without them those things are so fucking loud. Oh well, you win some, lose some. I’m currently losing to Flirtin’ With Disaster by Molly Hatchet. That song fucks me so hard.
The weather in DeKalb has been balls out crazy lately. It’s getting to the point where being buried by random snowstorms is becoming the norm. That is never good. I mean, how many times does one have to spend 15 minutes trying to get his car out of the snow so he can go to work before enough is enough? To make matters worse, we have no shovel in this house. Our front porch has become a safety hazard. Seriously, our steps have turned into an icy ramp of death. It’s not fun. To make matters worse, apparently the public works have run out of salt. That means the streets are like a nice, black, ice rink. Always fun to drive on. Hopefully it will get warm again soon. It seems like just yesterday that it was OVER 60 DEGREES IN JANUARY. Seriously, this winter is fucked up. Going to get my W2’s tomorrow. Second Christmas is upon us!
